Quoting the late Pope Benedict XVI, "the church does not proselytize, but rather she grows by 'attraction'" to the beauty of God's love. This past week we have begun preparing our Parish School of Religion (PSR), children for the sacraments. We have a wonderful team of catechists who guide, teach, and inspire these children to know our Lord better and how to allow their faith to shine forth in their lives. We are also meeting with children who wish to be baptized or who were baptized and have not received all their sacraments of initiation.

The Mary, Queen of Heaven Summer Speaker Series at St. Ann was a great success. They invited representatives from many of our Love-in-Action partners to speak and share about the good work our parishes are doing, and also to offer love and help in differing areas of service to others. This winter, we will present a speaker series on end-of-life issues and the funeral liturgy. Stay tuned to learn more!
It is the mission of the EVANGELIZATION TEAM to work with and for the community of Mary, Queen of Heaven to offer studies, speakers, classes, and more to assist the people of God in growing closer to our Lord. We welcome your ideas and participation, contact Barbara Yoder, Director of Evanglization.
